Friday Night Live (FNL) is an initiative by the Division of Student Affairs to create fun and entertaining late night program for University students. FNL provides a fun and entertaining setting where undergraduates, graduates, professional students, faculty and staff can can be "edutained" with the evening's programs in an alcohol-free environment. Each FNL provides a variety of activities, games, contests, and memorabilia. Our mission is provide educational, entertaining, cultural and creative late night programming to enhance the Arkansas Experience by building and uplifting our campus community.
FNL's are held at the Arkansas Union on designated Friday Nights per semester from 9pm through 1 am. Although on special occassions we have FNLs that will begin earlier. Everyone (students, faculty, staff and community members and thier guests) is welcome to attend and have a great time FREE of Charge!!!
Friday Night Live's Learning Outcomes for participants and volunteers are:
- To foster a feeling Razorback pride by providing an uplifting Arkansas Experience
- To harbor and value cultural and diversity programming
- To establish and support the development of social networks across campus communities
- To develop alcohol awareness in an educational and entertaining environment
- To instill the spirit of service to the university community as well as the community at large
- To understand and develop effective program planning skills
Friday Night Live is always looking for out-going, energetic students to help run each FNL. Volunteers receive a T-shirts and/or other goodies for becoming part of the FNL Family. They also have an opportunity to meet new people, help contribute to the success of FNL and always have fun.
